Founded in 2010, I've spent years helping families in Kingwood and surrounding communities build better relationships with their dogs. Every session I lead is tailored with care and real results in mind. I believe dog training should be fun — for the dog and the owner. My approach is entirely based on positive reinforcement: treats, praise, affection, and the occasional belly rub.
Training with LET'S GO!! will teach you and your dog a common language. You and your dog will learn this new language together — including hand signals. You will learn to read your dog's body language, and your dog will deepen their ability to read yours. All training is accomplished by positive reinforcement. I use treats, praise, affection, belly rubs, and ear scratches to teach your dog what to do. It's easier to teach a dog what to do than to teach a dog what not to do. Dog training is FUN!!
Yes, exclusively. All training is done with positive reinforcement techniques linked to visual cues (hand signals). Not only is it more humane, it's more fun and effective. Training is structured by life stages and skill levels. From learning the fundamentals to complicated behaviors, I make training fun and effective so your pet can be a better member of your family and you can be a better pet parent.
For the most part these are normal puppy behaviors and should be addressed sooner rather than later. With a well-laid foundation of expectations and boundaries, you and your dog will begin to agree on what's appropriate. Don't wait — reach out as soon as you notice these behaviors becoming a pattern.
Loose leash walking means your dog walks by your side with no tension on the leash at all, focused on you and not distracted by their surroundings. It requires training, patience, and practice. In my opinion, it's the most difficult cue to train — but once learned and in action, it's beautiful. A real team at work.
Crate training isn't imprisoning your dog. It gives them their own space and can calm anxiety. Create positive associations with the crate through treats and games. Be patient — it's worth the effort. Dogs are naturally den animals and most enjoy a small, enclosed place. When trained to a crate at an early age, it can help calm anxiety and make potty training significantly easier.
Yes. The phrase 'Use it or Lose it' is true, especially when learning and practicing new cues. If you find yourself and your dog needing a quick refresher, LET'S GO!! should be the first number you call: (832) 282-1686. We'll meet for a few sessions to review and renew — or maybe a quick phone consultation will do the trick.
Absolutely. Dogs are not born potty trained — they don't know the difference between inside and outside until we teach them. I promise you, your dog did not stay up all night thinking about ways to frustrate you. If they knew better, they'd do better. I offer potty training guidance and am always happy to do a phone consultation. I also offer Potty Training seminars to local vets and their patients.
My mission at LET'S GO!! is to give you the very best I possibly can. I want you to realize what you're subconsciously telling your dog by certain things you do — and what your dog is telling you by certain things they do. LET'S GO!! is committed to giving you a dog that you love as a family member: a dog that loves and respects your guidance, and a dog that is safe in any environment and in any situation. It's NEVER too late to train your dog!!
