About LET'S GO!! Train Dogs

Positive reinforcement, real relationships, lasting results.

Training Dogs Since 2010

Founded in 2010, I've spent years helping families in Kingwood and surrounding communities build better relationships with their dogs. Every session I lead is tailored with care and real results in mind.

I believe dog training should be fun — for the dog and the owner. My approach is entirely based on positive reinforcement: treats, praise, affection, and the occasional belly rub. I don't use choke chains, prong collars, or electric collars. Ever.

When you work with me, you're not just getting a trainer. You're getting a partner who is committed to you and your dog for the long haul.

"Bobbye Smith worked with my family's rescue pit bull and our other two dogs for several months. Using her positive reinforcement technique, Ms. Smith was able to guide our pit bull, who was essentially feral, to a greater level of calm, obedience, and trust. Not satisfied with simply working with the pit bull, Ms. Smith integrated the entire dog family into the training, and the results were a more well-managed household and happier dogs. I have recommended Ms. Smith to several pet owners. Not only is Ms. Smith an expert in her field, but she is patient, conscientious and puts forth an effort greater than the job required. I heartily recommend her." — LinkedIn Member · First hired 2013 · Top Qualities: Great Results, Expert, High Integrity
Bobbye's response (2025):
"I haven't been on LinkedIn for many years. I hope this reaches you. Thank you for your kind words and glowing recommendation. 2012 was my second year training professionally. I'm so happy we were able to achieve your goals with such great results. I'm still training and likely will still be training until they take the keys away. Thank you so much for taking time to leave LET'S GO!! such a fabulous review."

Trainer with TRICKS For PITS
Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services — September 2009 to Present

In October 2009 I participated in HCPHES and trained 40+ pit bulls in a program that aims to change the culture of pit bull ownership. "Tricks for Pits" addresses pit bull ownership in urban areas where misuse of animals and dog-fighting are prevalent.

40+ pit bulls and their teenage owners enrolled in the first two classes. Thirty-six graduated the ten-week course and four went on to obtain their American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Certification.

Harris County Public Health Veterinary Division started the classes after seeing a significant increase in the number of pit bulls being abandoned, pit bull bites and police calls concerning vicious members of the breed. All of the pit bulls were vaccinated for free prior to the class — only one of the 40+ had ever been vaccinated. During the ten weeks, 85% were spayed or neutered.

Choke chains, prong collars and electric collars were NOT used. All training was done with no-slip collars and six-foot regular leads.

Our slogan: Train Don't Chain — Off the Chain, On the Leash.
